Library Resources for Applying for & Managing Grants Online

Learn how you can use library resources and services to successfully apply for and manage grants.

Learn how the library can support researchers through the entire grant process. This workshop will cover how literature searching can help you find gaps in research, how to find funding opportunities, ensure compliance with federal mandates when preparing your proposal, and how to manage your research data. Attendees will learn about scholarly publishing and research impact resources they can use once their grant is over and they are ready to publish. Finally, attendees will learn about the NIH Open Access Policy and how to ensure they are in compliance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe how a literature search can help you identify gaps in research.

  • Demonstrate how to find funding opportunities.

  • Define what a Data Management & Sharing Plan is and why you need one.

  • Describe how you can use an Electronic Lab Notebook to manage your research data and ensure funding compliance.

  • List resources available to help you publish your research, and measure and communicate your research impact.

  • Summarize what you need to do to comply with the NIH open access policy.

All library classes will be streamed live via Zoom, https://iu.zoom.us/j/98587477406. If there are no attendees online, classes will be cancelled 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.
