Getting started with ORCID Online

This workshop will cover the basics of ORCID, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID. ORCID is a global, not-for-profit organization that provides a unique, persistent identifier free of charge to researchers and contributors which is commonly referred to as an ORCID iD.

Come to this workshop to explore the benefits of creating an ORCID iD and get help with setting up your ORCID record.

This workshop will cover:

  • An overview of the benefits and basics of ORCID
  • How to create an ORCID iD
  • Tips and tricks to keep your ORCID record up-to-date (and how to use it as an online CV!)

No prior experience with ORCID is necessary. Plan to follow along during the workshop on your  personal device (laptop, tablet, etc.).
