ORCID: A Persistent Identifier (PID) for People
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a free, unique persistent identifier (PID) for individuals to connect to their work and to distinguish them from other researchers with similar names. Funders, publishers, associations and other organizations are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers.
In this workshop we'll cover the following:
- An overview of ORCID and the benefits of having an ORCID iD
- How to create an ORCID iD and how to manage your ORCID record
- Tips and tricks for keeping your ORCID record up to date
No prior experience with ORCID is necessary. Bring your personal device (laptop, tablet, etc.) to follow along.
This workshop will be held in-person at the University Library (UL) in room 1126, which is located in the Lower Level of the library. Check out the Library Maps if you are unfimiliar with the building.
